As a doula and nutritionist originally from San Diego, navigating the cultural nuances of living in Gothenburg, Sweden, has brought about unexpected shifts in my lifestyle.

Living in Sweden since February of 2023, I’ve noticed a distinct approach to alcohol, but an increase in coffee or hot beverages instead.

This shift has not only impacted my habits but also influenced my professional perspective as a doula and nutritionist.

This morning, as my partner and I discussed our evolving habits, I realized how living abroad has naturally led to a reduction in my alcohol intake.
